Lake Manyara National is one of the Northern Tanzania destination located between Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, The Park delivered its name from a plant called Euphorbia tirucalli, known as Emanyara in Maasai language. Lake Manyara National Park Covers the Area of 648.7 Kilometer Square of which 262.7 Kilometer Square is covered by the lake and the remained 386 Kilometer Square is the dry land. Addition to that, the Mto-wa-Mbu village (Mosquito village) (Cultural tour selected village) and the East Africa Rift Valley escarpment add the boundaries of the park.

Lake Manyara National park is popular and well known with the unique tee climbing lions, and wealth of birdlife from the birds of prey (vulture ayre's hawk eagles) to the water birds such as the popular rose feathered flamingoes along the Lake. The topography of the park is wetland forest with Mahogany and fig trees, the open land, savannah, marshes and acacia woodland. The environment resides the large number of wild animal such as zebras, herds of buffaloes and elephants, Eland, giraffes, impala, waterbuck, Gazelles, bushbuck, wildebeest, klipspringer, hyena and leopards, Cheetah and the like.

Moreover, Lake Manyara accommodates a large number of hippos into its pool and makes one of East Africa park sighting at a closer range. Nevertheless, Manyara has also minor and major hotsprings within the park famous known as "Maji Moto" a Swahili word means (Hot water) to the north and some River like Chem chem, Ndala, Bosayo Rivers. With all the popular features of the Park, the tourism activities that can be done in the park includes game drives, Walking safaris, Night Game drive, canoeing, canopy tour, bird watching and hot bush meals.

Doing the safari in Lake Manyara National Park, there are two accommodation options whereby the traveler can lodge in or outside the park, but this depends on the natures and itinerary of the safari, the accommodation choice are public camping, tented campsites, lodges and hotels.
